The Characters:
Ferris Himura (Age: 19) - Part-Time Miko -
- The protagonist of our tale, Ferris was blessed with mysterious spiritual powers after an incident when she was a young child. Despite this, she doesn't see this as making her any different from anyone else. Works part-time with her close friend Yukina, but doesn't know quite what she wants to do with the rest of her life. Though she genuinely wants to help other people if she can.
Kara (Age: ???) - Stoic Butler -
- Ferris' Uncle and Spiritual Guardian, Stoic and wise, he tries to guide Ferris along her journey with his many years of accumulated wisdom. Takes the form of Ferris' Parasol when in the Physical Realm, though posesses a more conventional form within the Spiritual Realm. Has known and watched over Ferris since she was very young, and should he need to, will do so for the forseeable future.
Yukina Shirayama (Age: 21) - Lonely Miko -
- Ferris' childhood friend and a Miko at the local Shirayama Shrine. After the disappearence of Lady Shirayama, her fellow Miko all scattered in an attempt to find their lost leader. This left Yukina largely alone and with a workload far higher than she could reasonibly cope with. Hence why she chose to hire her close friend for help with the substantial work forced upon her.
Pandora M. Etherius (Age: 10?) - Child-ish Alchemist -
- The eccentric girl who lives within the White Manor, a large house that sits out of place within Neo-Edo. She claims to be far older than she looks and refers to herself as a 'Professor', despite her appearence. Wears clothes that are clearly far too large for her in an attempt to look more grown up. Is almost always shadowed by her twin maids, Midori and Kikeru.
Midori Mei (Age: 23) - Sincere Twin Maid -
- One of the Twin Maids that serve 'The Professor', Midori serves her young charge with poise and respect. Though she can seem cold and emotionless at first, she truly cares for Pandora and wants the absolute best for her and her twin sister. Has all but abandoned her previous life as a Tengu in the Spiritual Realm. Is often mistaken for her twin sister Kikeru.
Kikeru Mei (Age: 23) - Sardonic Twin Maid -
- One of the Twin Maids that serve 'The Professor', Kikeru outright refuses to act with any kind of respect for her charge, seeing her as little more than an annoyance in her daily life. Though she is rude to almost everyone, she has incredibly thin skin. Wants nothing more than to return to her previous life as a Tengu in the Spiritual Realm. Is often mistaken for her twin sister Midori.
Lunette Spica (Age: 18) - Bubbly Bunny Girl -
- Ferris' Childhood Friend and the first of nine siblings. Takes on every adveristy in her life, both in school and at home with the same infectious attitude. Well, aside from verbal confrontations, she struggles to deal with those. Loves staring at the moon every evening. Was previously quite lonely, but after meeting Ferris, she began to make many friends.
Umbriel Spica (Age: 16) - Antisocial Bunny -
- Lunette's little sister and the second of nine siblings. On the surface incredibly abrasive and antisocial, but should she deem you worthy she can actually be rather nice, in her own way. Finds the constant noise of her siblings deeply irratating so you'll often find her on her own listening to music so that she can be left alone. Is actually quite lonely.
Phobos Spica (Age: 14) - Tinker Bunny -
- Lunette's little brother and the third of nine siblings. Outside of school he spends his days learning about his Father's technology. Whilst quiet and reserved he has a strng sense of justice, though he lacks the social skills to communicate them. Spends more time thinking about machines and technology than other people.
Amalthea Spica (Age: 12) - Mediator Bunny -
- Lunette's little sister and the fourth of nine siblings. Attempts to single-handedly manage and deal with the numerous interpersonal issues that spring up in her larger than average family. To do this she hides her real feelings, and feels rather distant from the people who like her quite a lot, but not the real her.
Mimas Spica (Age: 10) - Scholarly Bunny -
- Lunette's little brother and the fifth of nine siblings. Spends almost all of his time holed up in a book, and when he isn't doing that, he's typically talking at other people about books. Has an incredible reading abiltiy for his age, and does incredibly well at school. Due to his quiet nature, he gets on rather well with his sister, Umbriel.
Lysithea Spica (Age: 8) - Clingy Bunny -
- Lunette's little sister and the sixth of nine siblings. Spends all her time with Mr Usagi, a plush rabbit that she can't go anywhere without. This tendency has led her to not make many friends at school who consider her childish or uncool. Despite this, thanks to the support of her parents and sisters, she tries to push her boundaries every day. Loves her Mama almost as much as Mr Usagi.
Proteus Spica (Age: 6) - Ordinary Bunny -
- Lunette's little brother and the seventh of nine siblings. Whilst he doesn't stand out like his siblings, who are all huge personalities. He makes his way trying to develop his own niche within a world filled with clashng people. Even so, he loves spending time with his family, especially his parents and Luna, his big sister.
Io Spica (Age: 4) - Young Bunny -
- Lunette's little sister and the eighth of nine siblings. An adorable bundle of childlike energy. When going anything at all, she hums tunes she heard and mumbles noises, this is considered rather adorable by the rest of the family. Plays simple games by herself when her parents are too preoccupied to spend time with her, though she'd love to be with them all the time.
Rhea Spica (Age: 39) - Motherly Bartender -
- The proprietress of the Orbital Cottontail, a popular bar with futuristic theming. Despite being a bartender, she is notoriously bad at holding her own drink, getting drunk very easily. Though her husband is always on hand to scoop her out of trouble. Loves all nine of her children with all her heart and wants them to all thrive within this world far from their home.
Prom Spica (Age: 37) - Fatherly Engineer -
- Rhea's husband and the engineer behind the Orbital Cottontail. Hides his emotions with a pair of advanced goggles. Refuses to go out during the night. Works tirelessly to secure his nine children a future in Neo-Edo, and hopes the day never comes when his past catches up to him. Has never divulged the story of how or why he lost his left ear and tail.
Barbara Himura (Age: 40) - Kitsune Seamstress -
- Ferris' Mother and one half of the management of Himura Fashion. Stern and almost cold, though she truly wants the best for the people she cares about. After Ferris' dissapearence as a young child, she became extremely overprotective of her daughter, wants her to join the family business solely so she can still keep an eye on her. Is sacred of what the future holds.
Caden Himura (Age: 42) - Kitsune Fashion Designer -
- Ferris' Father and the other half of the management of Himura Fashion. Outgoing and jovial, he can seem almost flippant at times. Suffers from major insecurities especially when around his wife and daughter and tried to overcorrect through jokes and humour. Wants Ferris to lead her best possible life, and doesn't want her to bear the same regrets he does.
Lady Seraphine (Age: 22) - 5th Imperial Princess -
- The 5th Princess of the Imperial line and furthest in the line of succession, Seraphine has very limited status and influence. A boon she uses to investigate the people of Neo-Edo and understand more how regular people live their lives. Due to her kind nature, she genuinely wants to help the common person, but with her lack of real influence, she can only do so much.

Mizue Koizumi (Age: 18) - Fresh Fish Merchant -
- A young merchant and fisherwoman who sells fish at the market in Neo-Edo to make money to support her Grandfather. Simultaineuously shy and skittish, she finds it difficult to properly talk to customers, so most of her regulars just leave money without speaking. The quality of her goods really speaks for itself. Can be seen fidgeting and twitching regularly.
Tsukasa Koizumi (Age: 68) - Grandpa Farmer -
- Mizue's Grandfather and Guardian, and previously owned a large farm that was managed by his son. Sees his Grandaughter as really his Daughter and a promise to his late wife. Whilst caring to the people close to him, he is abrasive around the people he doesn't know, earning him the reputation as a grumpy old man. Has abslutely no time for his son.
Tsuyoshi Koizumi (Age: 32) - Self-Proclaimed Samurai -
- The son of a farmer from the Agricultural Quarter, who plays up the role of a traditional samurai in order to gain favour from the common people of Neo-Edo. Wants nothing more than to get ahold of the farm his Father owns. His bravado tends to crack around people who can see that it's just an act and that he's a perfectly ordinary farmer.
Dr. Anthony Blackwood (Age: 32) - Misanthropic Herbalist -
- A traveller from a land far from Neo-Edo, who left his people and home behind under mysterious circumstances. Has a vast knowledge of different plants and their uses, and can be seen roaming the woods looking for rare specimens. Though typically genial, he gets angry when he is misconstrued as 'The Professor' just because he dresses in foreign attire. Doesn't like to spend too much time with other people.
Myania Nyapakapow (Age: 19) - Slum-Cat for Hire -
- The Self-proclaimed Queen of the Slum District and Exorcist for Hire. She was born a terrible omen and abandoned by her parents as a young child. Caustic and abrasive she struggles to communicate with others due to a lack of a formal education. Has a mis-matched understanding of common sense, which ends up getting her in toruble more often that not. She named herself, for better or worse.
Horatio 'M' Nameless (Age: ???) - Amnesiac Gunslinger -
- A wandering man with amnesia who wanders into and out of Neo-Edo on the regular. Only remebers his own name. Regularly falls into states of delerium whenever he forgets what task he was doing at any given time. Craves alcohol which seems to clear the static in his head and allow him to remember small fragments of his memories. Due to not remembering his family name, people have come to refer to him as Nameless.
Umeko (Age: ???) - Abandoned Doll -
- A life-sized doll, broken and abandoned in the slums of Neo-Edo to rot, posessed by a Yo-kai from the spirtual realm to use as a body. Though much of the functionality of the body has been restored the left eye is unable to return to the socket. Wants to interact with other people, but is unable to understand why people seem to run when faced with the appearence of a seemingly undead doll.
Daitengu Koroitori (Age: ???) - Queen of All Tengu -
- Queen and Mother to all Tengu in the Spiritual Realm and beyond, whilst she appears unapproacable due to her immense power and seemingly endless knowledge and wisdom. She is actually rather affable and regularly seeks companionship. Is especailly fond of mortal children due to no longer remembering her own childhood after centuries of ruling her slice of the Spiritual Realm.
